The SALCIS Project is able to help churches who aspire to become engaged in the issues of social and community involvement. We are able to assist with a wide portfolio of workshops, training days, Bible studies and sermons around the themes of the social responsibility of the church and how your church can become a powerful and living testament to God’s compassion for those in need. We also provide practical assistance when needed from community engagement to examining your physical resources and planning on how best to serve the community with those resources. Does your church need help in the following areas... · Strategies for engaging with your local community? · Managing growth? · Responding to increased demands from your local community? · Seeking to use your resources more effectively? · Aspiring to undertake outreach through community action? · Thoroughly understanding your community’s needs? |
The SALCIS Project can help your Community Group in many ways, from simply providing basic guidance to highly detailed planning and strategic development.
Here are some of the stages where we can help:
· Just starting out. · At the next stage of development. · Facing changes in funding arrangements. · Facing the loss of funding. · Looking to become self-sustaining. · Evaluating your impact upon the communities you serve. · Needing to undertake research. · Paid or voluntary personnel. · Business or strategic Planning. · Effective Governance. · Policies & Procedures. |
The SALCIS Project is skilled in producing and delivering courses of substance and value to enable the learning development of Christians at every educational level, from assistants to pastors. Our coursework is flexible enough to stand alone or be integrated into a wider curriculum, and equally lends itself to either distance or on-campus delivery. Our organisational ethos is firmly rooted in the principle of empowering and equipping God’s people to go out and meet the very real human needs of the communities in which they live and worship. We can provide assistance in the following areas: · By providing a ‘Social and Community Action’ element to existing courses. · By increasing social responsibility scope and understanding for your students. · By educating your students on the principles of ethical financial sustainability for organisations. |
